About Shauna!
Hey! I’m Shauna.
The human behind Shauna Hingston Photography.
I’m a Saskatchewan based portrait photographer who believes photos should feel alive and not stiff, forced, and definitely not full of “shoulds.” I do it all, from photographing and editing to delivering images that feel real, beautiful, and true to you.
I’m married to my high school sweetheart and a mom to three teens/young adults. My house is full of noise, creativity, animals, music, and a whole lot of organized chaos. Watching my kids grow into themselves has taught me so much about what actually matters — connection, presence, and letting people be who they are.
I’m an adventurous human at heart. Creative adventures, outdoor adventures, cozy slow ones, count me in. Whether we'll be dancing, crafting, bowling, hiking, camping, swimming, paddleboarding, playing board games, reading books, or just laughter as friends… that's the energy that comes with me into every session.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It started as a child with a pink Barbie camera, which turned into saving babysitting money for my own point-and-shoot, and eventually grew into buying my first DSLR to document my own family. What began as “just taking a few photos” quickly became something deeper.
After facing my own health challenges and losing my mom far too young, I understood photography in a whole new way. Photos aren’t just images, they’re proof of love, presence, and life as it’s happening. When time moves fast (and it does), these moments are what we get to hold onto.
I create portraits for humans who want to feel seen, welcome, and confident being themselves. Families, grads, creatives, wild hearts, quiet souls, and everyone in between. Whether we’re capturing a milestone, a season of life, a creative vision or simply right now, this isn’t about perfection — it’s about connection.
Let’s capture your story!
